What should I do when someone dies?
Take your time — there is no rush. If the death happened at home or in a care home, call a doctor first. When you are ready, call Whitfield & Sons and we will gently guide you through every step, including bringing your loved one into our care.
Are you available outside office hours?
Yes. Our phone is answered 24 hours a day, every day of the year, so you can reach us whenever you need — day or night.
How much does a funeral cost?
We show our full Standardised Price List on our Prices page, so you can see our costs before you get in touch. There is never any obligation, and we will always explain the choices clearly.
Can I arrange a funeral in advance?
Yes. Many families choose to plan ahead for peace of mind and to ease the burden on their loved ones. Please get in touch to talk through the options that suit you.
What happens after I make an enquiry?
When you contact us, one of our team will be in touch to arrange a time to talk — at our premises or in your own home, whichever you prefer. We will listen, answer your questions, and help you decide what feels right.
